Autopsy Finally Confirmed The Actual Cause Of Murphy Afolabi's Death(Photos)

    Popular Nollywood and Yoruba actor Murphy Afolabi has passed away, at the age of 49. While details of his death are yet to be officially confirmed, it has been reported that he sustained injuries from a fall in the bathroom On Sunday afternoon, Ola Yusuff, a well-known director and producer in the industry, announced the Yoruba actor’s death on his Facebook page, simply stating “REST IN PEACE…”. Another popular actor Odulade Adekola also posted on his Instagram page to confirm the news he said, “Jesus Christ we lost Murphy”  Biola Bayo also wrote on her page, “A black Sunday Indeed” His death came less than 24 hours after the announcement of the death of fellow producer and actor Saint Obi. Nollywood has been left in mourning amidst recent happenings. While we wait for official announcement by family, may God grant his family and the movie industry the fortitude to bear the loss.

Nigerian Woman And Her Husband Arrested For Beating their two Children with a Cutlass (photos)

  The police in Lagos state have arrested a mother and her partner for allegedly battering her two children aged 5 and 2.   The woman identified as Busola Oyediran and her partner, Akebiara Emmanuel, were arrested on Friday, January 13, by the police following reports by neighbours. The concerned neighbours had alerted the police of the consant physical abuse of the minors by their biological mother and her partner. Following the report, the police stormed the Egbeda/Idimu home of the couple and arrested them. The police later visited the hospital where the neighbours had taken the battered children for treatment.   When confronted, their mother claimed the children fell from a motorcycle and suffered serious injuries.   Confirming the arrest to LIB, the spokesperson of the state police command, SP Benjamin, said the couple is currently in detention and will be arraigned in court by Monday, January I6.
